Robotics in a Global Economy

The Manufacturing Industry has drastically changed over the last decade.  There are continually increasing global demands and a low cost of labor forces in countries such as China, Mexico, and India.  This has caused the rest of the industrialized world to come up with a practical competitive advantage.

The trending advantage is to completely automate and computerize industrial manufacturing and processing systems.  These automations provide limited overhead and maintenance.  A key benefit is that robotic applications can usually perform multiple functions simultaneously.  Many operators will need to be trained to operate these automations and controls on and about the factory floors.  If automation can make us more competitive globally, perhaps this is a great investment for our US manufacturing sectors.
